Privacy Policy
In short: UniQueue keeps everything on your device. We have no servers and no accounts, and we don't collect, sell or share any personal data. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
This policy covers the UniQueue app for iPhone and Android ("UniQueue", "the app") and this website. "We" means the developer of UniQueue.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter or import stays in the app's private storage on your device:
- your timetable (classes, rooms, times, course names and colors), including anything imported from a .ics file;
- to-dos, assignments, quizzes and exams, with their notes, locations and seats;
- water and gym check-ins;
- your settings, such as reminder times and layout.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it, and we have no copy of it.
What we collect
Nothing. UniQueue has no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting service, no tracking and no third-party SDKs that collect data. It does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts or any identifier. The Android version doesn't even request internet access.
Notifications, widgets and Live Activities
Reminders are scheduled locally by your phone's operating system. Widgets and Live Activities read a summary of your upcoming classes and deadlines that the app writes to storage shared only with its own widget, on your device.
Backups
If you choose Export backup, the app creates a file and hands it to your phone's share sheet. Where it goes (Files, AirDrop, email, a cloud drive) is your choice, and that service's privacy policy applies to the copy. Restoring a backup reads it back into the app on your device.
UniQueue Plus purchases
The optional UniQueue Plus subscription is sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Payment details and purchase history are handled by them under their own privacy policies: Apple, Google. The app only asks the store, on your device, whether a subscription is active. We don't receive your name, payment details or store account.
On Android, the Google Play Billing library includes a component that would upload diagnostic information about billing to Google. UniQueue removes internet access from the app, so this information isn't sent from the app.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Class and deadline reminders, and (optional, Android) the next class on the lock screen. |
| Alarms & reminders (Android) | So reminders arrive at the exact minute. |
| Live Activities (iPhone) | Showing your class on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. |
| Background refresh | Keeping reminders and widgets up to date when the app isn't open. |
| Files you open | Only the .ics timetable or backup file you pick or open with UniQueue. |
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. You can also remove your timetable with Settings → Delete timetable, and delete any to-do, assignment, quiz or exam by swiping it away. Since we hold no data, there is nothing to request from us. To end a subscription, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Children
UniQueue is made for students and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking, and loads no outside fonts or scripts. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare may process standard request data (such as IP address and pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under its own privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the effective date above. If the app ever starts collecting data, this policy will say so before that happens.
